I got a tank bag, wouldn't like to do nice roads with it though, very restrictive. Try searching for a tail pack, straps on to the pillion seat.

But the kriega stuff off Runters, you won't regret it!

I would use soft panniers, tank bag and maybe tailback? Tankbags are good as you can lean on them and can put your map/shat nav in the window.

Stupid question, what will I need to put in the luggage stuff? I'd not worked it out yet but I expect my adventure to take the best part of a week?

Dude your gonna have a ball. If you can take your time don't do to many miles in a day or it will turn in to a challenge. This could turn into a cool holiday. Pack light but still take what you would if you going on a holiday. You may have to pack some work clobber so tank bag and throw over panniers with maybe tail pack. If the bike becomes a pain in the back/neck after a while why not fit some bar risers? You can always take them off once you get there. I'm not in the slightest bit jealous by the way :56:
If you have to ask. You wouldn't understand.

ADAC is the German AA and are supposed to be the dogs bollocks in Europe. They even give you cover when you get back to the uk by using the AA. They are the guys that do recovery from the ring so if you bin it then you get free recovery will get mark to post as he has all the details.

Re: Riding France, Switzerland, Spain Etc.....

I am warming towards the idea that I'll need panniers now & probably a tent as well.

Also Check my insurance to verify it covers me.

And European breakdown cover.

A bike mountable satnav could be a good investment as well.

Next step I guess is to work on planning the route & where to stay etc. Might have to squeeze the Nurburgring in is as well :horny:.

Looks like I've found my first stop www.slidersguesthouse.com
