Re: The 51st Percy Duff Barbon Motorcycle Hill Climb (NW)

couple of very quick ones, i'll sort some more out when I get a second.

The range of machinery on show, the age difference of competitors and bikes and the pure diversity of engineering is brilliant.
One minute your watching a twenty year old going up on his KTM/husky wheelieing everywhere and backing it into the corners, next there's an elderly bloke on a Douglas giving it his best  then something you can't even describe comes flying round the corner fully lit  you have no idea what's coming next!

Not sure Kev as I struggled to keep up with the results and the commentator was a little err eccentric :lmao:
There was both ER-6's and and TL's running so not sure which was him, will have a look through the programme when I can find it

Just seen it on his FB page

"Bloody Great Racing at Barbon, 1st in class, beat the 12 year old class record by 3/10ths, Beat Christian Iddon and made 5th in top 15 shootout!"

He usually runs number 65, nice bloke Sam too, and a very clever engineer, he builds some very fast TL motors and is very highly regarded as the man on TL1000's.

Re: The 51st Percy Duff Barbon Motorcycle Hill Climb (NW)

Number 60 is "Fat Stu"

Sam built the supercharged TL1000S from scratch, he no longer has it as the new 1080cc motors he builds were gruntier than the supercharger, so Sam now runs the 1080 engine too. Fat Stu was beating him, as the supercharger was all topend and for the hill climbs the 1080 is perfect.
