PCV two versions for GSXR 1000 K9-

Just spent an interesting hour trying to figure out why the PCV i have is different from the one in the instructions for the GSXR 1000 K9-L1
I have the correct PCV for the K9-L1 but the instructions tell you to use the supplied connector for the TPS connection.

Mine never had that connection, just two wires either end of the PCV loom with pinch connectors.

Nothing on the Dynojet website about it, so was getting a bit pissed off until i manged to find another site with an answer.

Now either there are seperate versions between USA/UK/AUS (doubtfull) or the one i have is an earlier model (most likely) so if you pick one up cheap off ebay and its the one with the extra wires this is where they go

Attach the GREY wire from the PCV loom to the PINK/BLACK wire on the 3 pin green connector which sits between cylinders 2&3

Attach the BLACK/WHITE wire from the PCV loom to BLACK/BROWN wire on the ECU (pin #35 on the black ECU plug) i found removing the battery gave better access

Re: PCV two versions for GSXR 1000 K9-

I imagine they changed it because, as it is now, there is no power to the TPS with the ignition on (unlike the K7-K8) you only get a reading from the TPS when the bike is running, which is a pain in the arse if your trying to re calibrate the throttle 0% - 100%, so i reckon the extra bit of loom on the newer PCV is to overcome this.

You can get round it as the TPS briefly powers up when you first turn the key so if you open the throttle right up you can get your 100% reading and just enter it manually.

Couldn't afford one Martin or i would have, Lenny, the PCV installs exactly the same as a PCIII, the only difference being the TPS connection, the PCV i had connected the same as the PCIII, with a wire tap, which makes me think its an early model one, still works fine, just a pain to tap those two wires, the later model plug in ones will be a piece of piss to install.
