Metal workers help!

Hi guys, my rear brake lever is sitting at a very far round towards the ground because the bolt from the m/c is too short. As you can see in the image attached.
I need to get or make an extender for the M8 bolt so I can increase the distance between the m/c and the back of the leaver.
I believe I need something like this image but maybe with an edge to grip with a spanner.

Re: Metal workers help!

I'll have a look about at work tomorrow, if I haven't got anything suitable I'll make you something up.

Might be better to replace that bottom rose joint with a left handed male one and then thread a piece of alloy, left hand one end right the other, easy to adjust our then.

Leave it with me matey

Re: Metal workers help!

Right,I have turned you a spacer with an 8mm internal thread.

You have the option off either using the male rose joint to replace the old female one or just screw in that 8mm bar instead and use the supplied half nuts to lock it all in place.

I made the spacer over long so you can just cut it down if needed

Re: Metal workers help!

Nix, you my friend, are bloody amazing! I will probably go for the male rose option to reduce the chance of things coming loose. Let me know how much I owe you etc and I will sort you out :)

Also thank you to esxr7.5 for offering, I didn't have chance to send you the details.
