Gsxr L2 & L3?

Hi people, not been here for a while but have a big question that I need answered if posable:)

Just bought myself a new gsxr1000 L3 and from what I've been told its the same bike as the L2. The problem is some parts I look at buying says they'll fit both and some say no:(

Now it's all cosmetic stuff like carbon tank protector, mudguards, hugger etc. could someone please confirm ether way:) thanks

Re: Gsxr L2 & L3?

K9-L1 are the same bike, only cosmetic, then came the L2 same as the others bodywise, with changes to the Engine internals and a single exhaust, L2 and L3 are no different as far as i'm aware, only cosmetic changes, in fact i'm pretty certain you could take off the fairings on your bike and they would bolt straight on to my L0

Re: Gsxr L2 & L3?

So are the fairings different or the same on these two? Could I buy L2 fairing bits like the air ram cover and it fit my L3?

I absolutely love my new baby but I'm not having much luck with this bike, 300 miles and got a 3" nail in the back tyre, 3 weeks and I crashed it up the mountains so not looking forward to my 3 month period lol

I can't really see any difference in the 3 bike other than the paint. All look great

Re: Gsxr L2 & L3?

L2 onwards had the different engine internals and the single pipe, as far as i'm aware (99% certain) the fairings are the same, certainly things like the hugger and front mudguard are the same, what exactly were you after ?

Re: Gsxr L2 & L3?

I need
front air vent
R/h air ram cover

I want
Carbon tank cover
Carbon hugger
Carbon mudguard
Carbon chain guard but the company selling these on eBay said the wont fit the L3 but not sure if they just don't know, selling as a L2 parts

The air ram cover on eBay is £70 for a L2 but £130 from Suzuki for the L3 but surely their the same thing

all body parts are interchangeable....only things different are the front brakes, spindle, single side exhaust and re-worked exhaust port plus a tweak to the ECU...
