Carb help...

Carb help...

Tried cleaning a set of carbs off a 400GSXR but they had so much crude on them, carb cleaner, hasn't worked.

Kinda hoping someone has an ultrasonic cleaner......anyone?

Not sure if you can see the green shit on the needle...

No. Use your dishwasher, supposed to work wonders, I used it for the cars on my CB900FR.... 1981 model.... Oh yes, I used gear called Seafoam, worked a right treat... it's an additive that you can also use to soak the buggers to clean off the varnish from the petrol stagnating in them... a bit like Lenny and livestock.... :lmao:

If that don't work, ultrasonic it's gotta be mate...

I have a wee UC. Done several carbs including the twin Kadrons on my old VW. Came up mustard they did. Wasn't a lot of money I got it off Ebay. If you wanted to use the same size as I have you'd have to break the carbs down into singles. Well worth it though. I've got an additive to add to the water and it even does the cleaning using hot water.

Dishwasher does work but if you've got any salt granules it tends to mark the ally. I'd say around the 200-250 mark
