Right strange question

Post by Mattzo27 » 11 Jul 2013, 23:09

I have brand new tyres which you may have seen for sale. Now I am thinking........ which is never good

My fzr has 160 on the rear and 120 on the front.

Now could I ise my 2 new tyres which are 110 front and 150 rear?

Is this possible or is it going to caise more problems than its worth.

Also I think my clutch cable needs adjusted as when I release clutch lever it almost all the way back to original position before biting. How much adjustment should I do?

Sorry for the constant harrasments.

Thanks guys

you might be all right going a slightly smaller width, it some time becomes a problem when you go wider as the width of the tyre might rub with something. also you need to make sure your tyre rim width is the same for both rims tho and the size of the tyre.

someone maybe be able to back me up on that or shoot me down :shoot:

I wouldn't put the thinner tyres on as they will deform and cause handling problems, that is even if you could squeeze them on.
Yea adjust the clutch cable, may be you need to adjust the clutch push rod that goes through the motor, that should be in the manual.

Not worth the risk. They handle great and you ( well me) can ride off the edge of the standard width.

Google workshop manuals to see how to adjust the clutch but it may need new plates
