it might be worth sticking a Manual one in if you have the time to wait for one

Re: Disaster has struck

Did you torque the head down ???? Did you use sealer on the gasket ??? Was it free from damage when you put it back on....

Yep torqued down to spec, no sealer was told not to use and there was no damage

Re: Disaster has struck

I may be sticking my neck out a bit here, but did you tighten the head bolts in the order specified in the manual? I seem to recall they have to be tightened up in a specific order... could be wrong. Sorry to hear about your misfortunes mate, hope it all gets sorted ASAP. :ok:

Re: Disaster has struck

only thing I can suggest then is your head needs skimming......

Whilst instant gasket is frowned upon - it would get you back on the road in the short term, instant Gasket is not a solution it is a temp fix... until you can figure out what is causing it, but I would suggest a head skim will sort it.
